DAY 01 AIRPORT / COLOMBO
Arrived in Bandaranaike International Airport, on you will be met and welcomed by a Representative of Jetwing Travels and then will be accompanied to your designated Vehicle.

Colombo City Tour; Colombo has a rich colonial heritage and draws together all the colors and cultures of Sri Lanka. Today after breakfast, proceed to Jaffna

DAY 03 & DAY 04 JAFFNA

Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Jaffna, exploring its most iconic cultural and historical landmarks. Visit the sacred Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, one of the most revered Hindu temples in Sri Lanka. Discover the impressive Jaffna Fort, built by the Portuguese and later expanded by the Dutch, offering panoramic views of the lagoon. DAY 05: JAFFNA / DAMBULLA / SIGIRIYA / HABARANA
Breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter leave for Habarana
This morning you will begin to climb the Rock Fortress, a UNESCO world heritage site. It is commonly called the ‘Fortress in the Sky’ and is probably the most fantastic wonder of Sri Lanka. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the Palace on the summit of the 600-foot rock.
Dambulla cave temple is part of the Golden Triangle of Sri Lanka and is encrusted into a magnificently large rock. It sits more than 160m above the surrounding land and spans for more than 1.5 km around the base. Also known as the “Golden Temple” it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1991. This ancient complex was initially established in 3rd Century BC and is truly a wonder as it is the largest and best-preserved cave temples in Sri Lanka. The cave temples are home to numerous religious and cultural paintings and sculptures.

DAY 06: HABARANA / MINNERIYA / HABARANA
Afternoon, visit the Minneriya National Park for a safari. The Park extends to 8,889 hectares and is well known for its large population of elephants in herds of 100 to 150 roaming in the jungle and seen in the catchment area of the lake. Other wildlife that can be sighted include wild buffaloes, wild boar, spotted deer, sloth bear, sambhar, leopards, crocodiles, jackals, and numerous species of amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish and butterflies.
Return back to your hotel in Habarana and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 07 HABARANA / POLONNARUWA / HABARANA
Day Excursion to Polonnaruwa
Polonnaruwa, which rose to prominence following Anuradhapura’s decline, served as the medieval capital and cherished gem of King Parakramabahu I, showcasing an extraordinary blend of ancient culture, heritage, and religious devotion. Explore the World Heritage Site’s scattered remains, adorned with stupas, reclining Buddha statues, irrigation canals, and finely carved Hindu sculptures. Discover Watadage, the relic house known for its remarkable stone carvings, and note the subtle Hindu influences in Polonnaruwa’s architecture and statues. Pause at Gal Viharaya to admire the elegance in every curve of its massive Buddhist statues. DAY 08 HABARANA / KANDY
After breakfast proceed on the city tour of Kandy.
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy which is a UNESCO world heritage site. The historic city about 480m above sea level surrounded by mountains was known to Sri Lankan as Kanda Uda Rata, which means the hill country. Kandy was home to Sri Lanka’s last independent Kingdom, which survived two centuries of colonial incursion before finally falling to the British at the beginning of the nineteenth century. Visit the Temple of the tooth in the evening,
Early evening, you will visit a Kandyan Dance performance and be treated to a spectacular fire walking finale.

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya.
Sri Lanka is one of the highest producers of tea in the world and if you are traveling in Sri Lanka, visiting a tea plantation is a must. The best place to go is the hill country and you are about to witness it. The tea plantation spreads across many hectares. While visiting the plantation and learning the process of making the Tea to the finest quality drop in also purchase tea at your wish. (Excursion visit – 45 mins)
Thereafter leave for Nuwara Eliya and proceed on a city tour.

DAY 11 NUWARA ELIYA / ELLA
After breakfast leave from Nuwara Eliya. Transfer VIA TRAIN to Ella and admire the views from forests, mountains, tea estates and waterfalls

DAY 12 & DAY 13 – LEISURE ELLA / YALA
After breakfast transfer to Yala.
Afternoon safari at Yala National Park. It is mainly famous for its leopards. The best chance to see a leopard is generally first thing in the morning and then again at dusk. The male leopards there are very confident animals and they are often seen walking the tracks during the day. Young males in Particular seem to have no fear of the jeep which can lead to some excellent photographic opportunities.
Apart from the leopards, there are a large number of elephants living in the park. Spotted deer, sambar, wild board, wild buffaloes, sloth bear, jackal and mangoose can also be seen. The bird life there too is fantastic.
DAY 14 YALA / AIRPORT
you will be transferred to the Bandaranaike International Airport, from where you will continue onwards to your next destination

- Climate
- Tropical monsoon, northeast monsoon (December to March), southwest monsoon (June to October)
- Sri Lanka is tropical, with distinct dry and wet seasons. The seasons are slightly complicated by having two monsoons.
- From May to August the Yala monsoon brings rain to the island’s southwestern half, while the dry season here lasts from December to March.
- The southwest has the highest rainfall – up to 4000mm a year. The Maha monsoon blows from October to January, bringing rain to the North and East, while the dry season is from May to September.
- The North and East are comparatively dry, with around 1000mm of rain annually. There is also an inter-monsoonal period in October and November when rain can occur in many parts of the island.
- Colombo and the low-lying coastal regions have an average temperature of 27° At Kandy (altitude 500m), the average temperature is 20°C, while Nuwara Eliya (at 1889m) has a temperate 16°C average. The sea stays at around 27°C all year.
- Credit Cards
- MasterCard and Visa are the most commonly accepted credit cards at many hotels and shops. No surcharge should be permitted for its use.
- Cash advances are possible against Credit Cards in certain banks.
- Other major cards such as American Express and Diners Club are also accepted at certain properties.
- Medical Facilities
- There are many public and private hospitals, nursing homes and other institutions providing medical services throughout the country.
- The professional standards of doctors, surgeons and other medical professionals are on par with international standards. The Major health care institutions found in Colombo.
- Clothing
- Light cotton dresses/cloths are most suited.
- A wide-brimmed beach hat and sunglasses, comfortable shoes/sandals.
- In the hill country a Pullover is advisable.
- Long trousers/Shoes for gents are preferred by hotels during dinner. Shorts also can be worn, but you have to check with hotel reception.
- Swimming & Sunbathing
- We do not recommend swimming in the ocean if a RED flag is displayed. If there is a RED flag, this means there are strong waves, currents and it is unsafe.
- Please be careful when going out in the sun for the first few days of your holiday, as the tropical sun can cause sunburns. Always use a high factor sun cream and remember to drink plenty of bottled water.
- Tipping
- Tipping is customary, but not obligatory. In restaurants and hotels a 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill. However, if you feel that you have enjoyed very good service, an additional tip can be considered. You may wish to leave your hotel tipping until your departure, as most hotels often pool all tips amongst all staff. For Guests who are on tour, should you wish to tip your driver/guide, the amount is entirely at your discretion.
- Wildlife and Nature
- Visits to National Parks will be at client’s own risk. Always follow guides and trackers instructions when inside national parks.
- Please note that the game drives can be quite uncomfortable as drivers have maneuver in rustic roads and paths furthermore Safari Jeeps are non-air-conditioned.
- Don’t feed the monkeys and other animals
- Don’t wear bright coloured clothes during Game drives and nature walks as it can distract animals
- You cannot bring bottles of wine or liquor to National Parks.
